The first time i went to bomb's away cafe was for a friends band who was playing on their weekend live music nights. I have since gone for another concert night and was very happy with the service. I can get crowded the nights that there are music but they have a nice little back bar that you can escape from the crowd when you need a refill. The service is prompt and very friendly helpful if you haven't been there before because their beer selection is different than just domestics. The price is very reasonable and they have a good drink menu. (More...)

Bombs away provides an excellent $5 lunch menu. You get a lot of good, local food, a drink and fast service for a great price. I can't think of a place in town that can beat that.
In the evenings it is a relaxing place to go, have a beer, enjoy some music and eat more great, local food. I would say the prices are very reasonable. The service is usually very friendly and helpful.

Decent beer selection and GOOD food (in this case Mexican), even if it is a little expensive. I guess that's the Monroe Avenue curse -- overprice everything and pretend the locals won't notice. Mixed drinks range from reasonable to very good in price/value, depending on what night of the week you're there. The place is a little on the cramped side, but has character and rotating art displays [at least it did when I wrote this a few months ago]. Big college hang-out for the non-redneck students of OSU.
