American Kenpo is divided into four areas of study: Basic Movements, Forms, Self-Defense, and Freestyle (sparring). Basic movements form the "Alphabet of Motion". These are learned individually as stances, blocks, strikes, kicks, and foot maneuvers. Forms expand on the basics by creating patterns which increase your understanding of basic principles. Self-Defense techniques are comprised of basics and give definitions to your motion. Freestyle (sparring) training develops maneuverability, accuracy, and proper distance.

Combining Mind, Body, and Spirit, the study of American Kenpo is a fascinating, rewarding, and enriching experience regardless of age or fitness level.

No matter what your age, career, or interests, you will gain new confidence in handing daily concerns. At Aurora Martial Arts, students take pride in supporting each other, which enhances the learning process and creates a lasting positive attitude.
