Novak's, hungarian, hungry, breakfast,
Joseph and Matilda Novak (Papa and Mama) came to the United States from Hungary in 1957. Together with twin daughters Karen and Matilda they opened the original "Novak's Hungarian Paprikas" in April 1984. As Mama and Papa are both quick to point out, sons Eddie and Joey have also contributed over the years, along with various nieces, nephews and even grandchildren. Over the years we've been blessed with a loyal following and have garnered the recognition of food lovers ranging from "Northwest Best Places" to "Bon Appetit". While chicken paprikas remains our signature dish, we've long been known simply as Novak's Hungarian Restaurant.
These days you'll find Karen (who, according to Matilda, inherited all Mama's talent) running the show, but Mama and Papa (for whom "retirement" is not in the vocabulary) are still very much a part of the day to day operation of the establishment.
We're pleased to be able to offer separate banquet facilities and a wonderful new catering menu, along with fresh baked specialty breads and more pastries than ever!
We've expanded both the menu and the restaurant, but the same Love goes into everything we prepare with the finest quality ingredients fresh every day. Whether this is your first visit with us, or you're a long time "member of the family", we thank you sincerely for coming to Novak's.

A must restaurant for out-of-town visitors! The proprietor takes a personal interest in the food, servoce & clients. The food is excellent; I particularly recomment the marinated cucumer.
Their desserts are excellent, but after one of their wonderful dinners, who has room? You'll probagbly need to choose between dinner and dessrt, since you won't jave room for both!
